Threads of Thoughtraveling. Originally a one-year subscription, these books came in a paper bag: a bagazine. Four of the five printed are now available as singles sold only directly from the press. TIME T-ravel is sold out.
SPACE T-ravel
Color copy of hand-drawn cover. The cover is meant to look like
postage stamps, some real, some imagined. Inside, a potpourri of
space-related poems and items. "Nothing Personal, I Just Want
Space" reads one page in big wood type. A golden origami rocket
with the words "romance" on one side and "defense" on the other. A
rotating wheel with a linocut of an astronaut spinning through an
article about the space shuttle. And more.
HOME T-ravel
All letterpress printing from type and paper under the packing
(pressure printing). Remodeling a house doesn't erase the memories
of the people who traveled through it. With a card of landscape
haiku.
BOOK T-ravel
One book or an anti-book? Traveling via reading, mostly to China.
Altered tea box cover. Interior is one text treated different
ways, some illegibly. And a list of what those who want to ban
some books find objectionable, challenging these books for their
content.
BODY T-ravel
Your good deed sets another in motion. Altered envelope with color
copy of hummingbird sitting on a wire printed over scanned
security pattern. Stand-up "room" with photos of a neighborhood
walk around. Letterpress printed text inside. The room has a
pocket with letterpress printed smaller book called Parking
Violation inside.
